For the days before the wedding, we have rented a bunch of houses in York starting from the Monday before the wedding. These will be free for you. These houses sleep 12, with private rooms for couples if needed. You are welcome to come earlier if you really want to, but from Monday to the next Sunday we will have any housing needs planned, and can plan for individual stays for any length of time, if needed.
The Friday before the wedding, the main events will be moved to Hull. Mass transportation will be arranged via bus or van, and those renting cars will be able to drive them east at their leisure. We have a group rate at a hotel very close to the Deep. The price will be 29 pounds a night. Since the Hotel is within walking distance of the Deep, there will be no worry about wandering home in the dark after a night of pleasant partying in (for what most people) will be a foreign land. The less people who accidentally fall into the river Humber, the better.
If you would like us to find different accommodations, help plan a day or overnight trip, or need any questions, let us know. We will do anything to help those American guests who will do us the generous favor of attending our wedding.
