Comment à Répondez, S'il Vous Plaît

We can assume with some certainty that if you are wondering how to RSVP for the wedding, you've been invited. Excellent. This is the first step. Please follow the proceeding instructions to complete the process.

1. Make sure you are sure of your response. The wedding will be taking place on June 12th, 2010 in Hull, UK, though there will be activities in the days before, such as the bachellorette party, in York too. If you can be there, we want you there, more than any other gift you could get us. If you can't make it, there will be another ceremony in the US at a later date. We won't take it personally.

2. Tell us your answer. The food will (almost certainly) be buffet style, so there is no need to worry about plate type or any other more fiddly detail. A yes or no will be fine, followed by the date of your arrival, if known or applicable. You can email me at trinaluciano AT gmail.com, or send a response to my parents' home in Connecticut or our house in the UK; whichever is closer. These addresses can be found on the invitation, though all methods of conveying attendance are equally welcomed. Please make sure you respond as soon as you know your status, so we can get good estimates of how many guests to budget for.

3. You're done! Except if you're not. Accidents and windfalls happen. Sometimes guests show up or disappear. If you find yourself suddenly able or unable to go, please notify us. Even if it seems last minute, it may not be a big deal.

The traditional method, as may know, would be to send out a "save the date" followed by an invitation months later. Unfortunately, due to timing, immigration, and travel expenses, the process has been expedited and informalized somewhat, hopefully to the enjoyment and ease of us all.
